Pogoplug Family comes with offsite archival storage so that your family can archive all or part of your data, including wedding photos, home movies, business documents, and other files you can’t afford to lose. Pogoplug combines storage in your home with offsite archival storage to keep your precious files twice as safe.
Does this mean I'm uploading my files to a third party?
Only when you want to. When you back up to a Pogoplug device, your files remain on your hard drive safely in your home or office. Your Pogoplug lets you access, share, stream and back up your content, but your data remains safely at home. If you want your critical files redundantly backed up in case of disaster at home, you can also choose to automatically and continuously archive them to Pogoplug’s secure cloud storage, powered by Amazon Glacier.

Worried about publishing videos of your kids on Facebook or YouTube? Pogoplug Family lets you share securely with trusted friends and family. Upload photos and videos to shared folders in your Family account, or email private links—and only share with the people you want to.
